Lighthouse Church is sending teams to help with earthquake relief efforts. On Monday, February 6, a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked wide swaths of southeastern Turkey, followed by a 7.5 magnitude aftershock. Thousands of buildings were toppled and tens of thousands people have died. Many are injured and displaced. Lighthouse Church teams have arrived in the affected area to distribute hot food, blankets, baby diapers, and other supplies. They are also helping relocate affected families into safe housing.
This donation will go directly into the Sheltering Wings School Fund. We have had a large influx of kids entering our school because the schools in the villages have shut down. This has really increased our expenses. We thank you for helping us educate these children and helping them break the poverty cycle in this way.
